Explore Norfolk Island through the

beauty and history of Music Valley

Your Host

Watawieh yorlye, my name is Jane Evans, and I welcome you to Music Valley. It is truly an honour to share with you this slice of paradise that im lucky to call my home. I was raised in the heart of this valley, and I’ve watched it evolve into this verdant paradise that we enjoy today. In the hands of my late father Bubby, this property transformed into not only a lush garden, but also a repository of the island’s history and heritage, which is primarily a reflection of our Norfolk culture that evolved from our Polynesian, Bounty Mutineer and Pitcairn Island ancestry. I consider myself to be a custodian of the valley’s stories and environment, and I hope to preserve and share these treasures for many generations to come.

The Music Valley Tour

The Music Valley Tour is a series of five online films that highlight the unique aspects of Music Valley, as seen through the eyes of Jane Evans, a Norfolk Islander and passionate advocate for the island’s culture and environment.

Jane grew up in Music Valley and has seen it evolve over time, and so her insights are a rare window into Norfolk Island’s past and present. Set amid the verdant natural landscape of Music Valley, which is located in a unique sea-side location next to World Heritage-listed Kingston, the tour is a rare immersion into the visual and historic beauty of the island and her people.
